First Bank Nigeria Reacts To Rumors That it’s Elephant May Swallow Customer’s Money

With reports of the snake and monkey swallowing public funds of N36m and N72m respectively, within the shores of the country, it is no suprise that customers of one of the top financial institutions in the country, First Bank Nigeria Plc, are a bit worried that their deposits might as well be swallowed by the elephant on the logo of the bank.

A twitter user who happens to be a customer of the bank took to the online platform to express his concerns.

His post read;

“With the way animals swallowing money now, I will have to close my @firstbankngr account. I don’t trust the elephant on their logo”.

Attesting to the power of social media, First Bank Nigeria has reacted to the fears of its customers, reassuring them of their loyalty.

The bank via their tweeter account said;

The Elephant on our logo represents trust, integrity dependability and loyalty. Let your first bank account remain open. We are your trusted ally. #stillstanding #still dependable#yourfirst

With the post, the bank hopes that their customers understand that unlike the snake and monkey alleged to have swallowed money, the elephant on their logo does not swallow customer’s funds
