Alicia Keys makes history as she’s about to host the Grammy Awards for the second time

She’s won 15 Grammys in her career to date.

And now Alica Keys will make Grammy history by becoming the first female recording artist to host the annual music awards show more than once.

The Recording Academy announced on Wednesday that the 38-year-old will return as host of the 62nd Grammy Awards in 2020.

She hosted for the first time this past February.

In a statement, Keys explained: ‘At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host.’

‘Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music,’ she said.

Nominees for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards will be announced on November 20 and the televised awards show will take place on January 26.
