On Wednesday the Queen hosted members of the royal family for her annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace and we shared photos here(insert link of last post here).
Ever wondered why a Christmas lunch would be planned seven days before the actual date?
Here’s why;
After playing her role at the State Opening of Parliament which was on Thursday, the Queen is expected to prepare to travel to Sandringham, where she spends her winter break until early February. Only nuclear members of the royal family are expected to join her at her Norfolk estate, making the Christmas lunch the only opportunity the Queen has to catch up with her cousins, nieces and nephews.A perfect way of getting all her e

Spotted and present at the Lunch party we’re; the Queen’s niece, Princess Margaret’s daughter Lady Sarah Chatto and husband Daniel, the Duke of Kent’s daughter Lady Helen Taylor and her husband Timothy. The Duchess of Gloucester, who is married to the Queen’s cousin, Prince Richard. Newlyweds Lady Gabriella and Thomas Kingston, the Queen’s cousin Princess Alexandra’s granddaughter, Flora Alexandra Ogilvy, who is engaged to Timothy Vesterberg.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three children, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and husband Sir Tim Laurence, as well as Prince Andrew and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
