Veteran Nollywood actor,
Romanus Amuta, popularly known for playing Natty in New Masquerade has died at
79.
the deceased son, Chukwuma
Amuta, stated that the veteran died in a hospital on February 9 after a
protracted illness.
He said: “Yes! My father died
this morning in Lagos after a protracted illness.”
Amuta was an indigene of Ukana
in Udi LGA of Enugu. He worked with Daily Times before venturing into the movie
industry. The actor came into the limelight after he was featured in the movie ‘New
Masquerade.’
The actor is survived by his
wife, Cordelia, and six children.
