A young woman captured on video a heated confrontation with an older woman dressed in a reverend sister’s habit during a bus ride in Anambra State.
According to the woman filming, the incident began when the older passenger objected to her watching a video on her phone, which was within the older woman’s line of sight. In the video, the woman in religious attire is initially heard saying, “Lower your phone and watch what you’re watching, I’m not against it.”
As the younger woman began recording the interaction for documentation, tensions escalated. Upon realizing she was being filmed, the older woman became visibly angry and physically lashed out.
“I will collect your phone. I will seize your phone,” she warned before allegedly attacking the young woman.
The younger passenger further claimed that she was grabbed by the neck and insulted during the altercation. She accused the older woman of calling her an “idiot” and physically assaulting her in front of other passengers.
“You’re part of the reason people are leaving the church,” the young woman told her during the confrontation.
The incident has since sparked reactions on social media, with many questioning the conduct of someone appearing to be a member of a religious order.
