VE Day Concert: A Night Of Remembrance As Princess Kate Shines In Elegant All-White Look

Princess Kate once again proved her status as a royal fashion icon as she stepped out in a striking all-white ensemble for the VE Day concert on Thursday evening.

Joined by Prince William, who looked polished in a classic blue suit adorned with his military medals, the Princess of Wales captivated onlookers in a sophisticated outfit by Self-Portrait.

The tailored design featured a belted waist and structured silhouette, effortlessly blending grace with modern elegance.

To complement her outfit, Kate accessorised with a timeless four-strand pearl necklace and delicate earrings by Orelia. Her poise and refined presence were perfectly suited to the commemorative occasion, as she mingled with veterans and guests at the event.

Body language expert Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of Genting Casino, remarked: “Kate’s choice to wear white—a colour of neutrality—signals that her focus is on others, not herself. She appeared calm, open, and genuinely engaged, displaying confident body language and warm, authentic smiles. It was clear she felt at ease while connecting with veterans.”

A Night of Remembrance and Celebration

The evening concert formed part of the nationwide tributes marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day—Victory in Europe Day—commemorating the end of hostilities in Europe during the Second World War in 1945.

Held on Thursday, the concert blended music and spoken-word performances to reflect the national celebrations that took place eight decades ago.

Hosted by former BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball, the event featured performances by X Factor star Fleur East, singers Freya Ridings and Calum Scott, and Strictly Come Dancing professionals Carlos Gu and Amy Dowden.

Earlier that day, Princess Kate attended the national Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey, joining fellow senior royals including the King and Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princess Anne.
