Brooklyn Beckham called his family ‘fake’ and revealed that they were actually the ones who blocked him on social media a year ago in a bombshell statement.
Brooklyn took to Instagram on Monday night to share a six-page statement, where he said he has no wishes to reconcile with his family and is standing up for himself ‘for the first time in my life’.
In December Cruz, 20, claimed his brother had blocked the entire family on social media following reports they had unfollowed him, saying: ‘My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.’
But now Brooklyn has hit back and said he had been the victim of ‘endless’ attacks from his parents and it was them who launched the social media war.
In his outburst, he said: ‘Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer.’
Brooklyn also claimed that his father ‘refused’ to meet him ahead of his 50th birthday in May last year if Nicola was invited, despite the couple jetting to the UK to celebrate the milestone, in what he said was a ‘slap in the face’.
Victoria pulled out all the stops for David’s big day, starting with a family party at their Cotswolds pile, followed by a 24 hour trip to his favourite vineyard in France, all topped off by a star-studded dinner at a London restaurant.
Brooklyn said: ‘My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.
‘Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.
He concluded, ‘When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.’
