When you are emotionally mature to get into a relationship, you will realize that it is not possible to find someone who will possess all those qualities you wanted. Once you get to this point, looks and material possessions do not count as much as your happiness and comfort, and that is when you are ready.

People who are selfish or self-centered cannot cope with this situation because it has always been about them. If you are not comfortable letting go of some things, or making sacrifices for others, then you may not be completely ready even if you are 28 or 30 years of age. When you have learned to compromise for the sake of the other person, you are now emotionally ready for a relationship.
