Princess Diana actress Elizabeth Debicki has transformed into the
Princess of Wales once again as she filmed scenes for the upcoming series of
The Crown in London.

The Australian actress, 31, who is taking over the role from Emma Corrin, effortlessly channeled the late royal by
opting for a red puffer jacket, navy baseball cap, black leggings, and brown
boots while shooting scenes.

It’s not known exactly what the crew was filming, but Elizabeth’s
outfit is strikingly reminiscent of one worn by Her Royal Highness on a ski trip
to Lech, Austria in 1994, when she took a young Prince William and Prince Harry to the exclusive resort in the Alps.

he Crown’s fifth series of the show will cover the Royal Family‘s history throughout the 1990s.  Over the
first three series of The Crown, the Netflix hit has become well known for
bending facts to suit its narrative, and while some artistic license is
inevitable, some critics have been outraged in its rewriting of history and
relationships.

Showing she is the queen of casual cool, Elizabeth effortlessly oozed
ski-chic while shooting the scenes today.

The actress was seen driving an Audi and filmed a scene where she was
spotted by a group of men in another car who chase her through some red traffic
lights. Diana famously died in 1997 in a car crash after being chased by
paparazzi in Paris.

Boasting the Princess of Wales’ signature locks, Elizabeth finished off
her look with a smattering of elegant makeup – including blush and a soft pink
lip gloss.

Elizabeth doesn’t appear to be wearing a replica of Diana’s engagement
ring. The sapphire piece was worn by the late royal until her divorce was
finalized in 1996.

The last two series of The Crown will cover the Royal Family from the
1990s to 2003. The crew will be picking up the story where it left off in the
fourth season.

The breakdown of Charles and Diana’s relationship will be a central part
of the new series.  The fourth series of The Crown, which streamed in
November last year, told the story of the early romance between Charles and
Diana.

It was announced last year that Elizabeth would take over from Emma
Corrin and play Diana for the fifth and sixth series, which will cover Diana’s
death in 1997.

The actress said of her casting last year: ‘Princess Diana’s spirit, her
words and her actions live in the hearts of so many. It is my privilege and
honour to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked
from episode one.’

Meanwhile, Dodi Fayed is expected to play a large part in the next
series of The Crown, with British actor Khalid Abdalla, 39, who starred in the
2007 film The Kite Runner, cast in the role.

The final two series of The Crown will cover the Royal Family’s history
throughout the 1990s and into 2003, however, it is not yet known which moments
will be seen.
