Kate Middleton's Go-To Designer Alessandra Rich Delivers Her Verdict

The woman behind the Duchess
of Cambridge’s favorite label has given her verdict on some of the royal
family’s most stunning style moments.

Splitting her time between
London and Milan, Alessandra Rich is responsible for some of Kate Middleton’s
most photographed outfits, including the breezy polka-dot dress she wore to
Royal Ascot.

The designer, who started her
business in 2010, has become Kate’s go-to for high-profile occasions such as
the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service and the Wimbledon trophy presentation.

Alessandra Rich, the woman
behind the Duchess of Cambridge’s favorite label, has spoken out about some of
the royal family’s most stunning style moments. She said of this look at
Wimbledon: ‘There’s something sexy about covered clothing – women know they can
be very sensual even if they don’t show their legs’

“It’s always flattering to
wear a longer skirt – they create a nice shape and narrow the waist,” Rich said
of the dress Kate wore to the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service.

Aboard the plane in Nassau,
Bahamas, the Duchess of Cambridge stood out from the crowd in yellow. Rich
said, “There’s always something ‘wrong’ in the dress that makes it right. If
it’s too perfect, it can get too simple’

Speaking with the Daily
Telegram Rich said she thinks the royal mother of three looks more confident at
40 than she did 20 years ago.

She added that she is
“grateful” for Kate’s support, saying: “The Duchess of Cambridge is such a
style icon, I can never say I’m not happy she likes my clothes.”

Rich’s designs are varied, but
the Duchess of Cambridge’s are often understated: think high-neck polka-dot
midi dresses, or chic 1950s-inspired two-pieces with peplum details and puff
sleeves.

She wore Alessandra Rich to
the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service in April 2022. In her verdict on the
look, Rich said: ‘It’s always flattering to wear a longer skirt – they create a
nice shape and slim the waist. ‘
