Alicia Silverstone posed nked in a full-frontal 30-foot billboard advert, to be placed in New York City, as she promotes vegan clothing.
The Clueless actress, 46, stripped down to nothing but a pair of cowgirl boots in the new advertising campaign being displayed in Times Square.
“Don’t be a p***k”, the billboard reads as Alicia stands in front of a giant field of cacti in the middle of a desert, while covering her body with her hands.
The Hollywood star, who has been vegan since the late 90s, has always used her social media platforms to speak up about animal rights.
“I never, ever, get nked in TV, in film, nothin’, never, nope — but I’ve done it for PETA because that’s how much it matters to me,” she explains in a promo video for the advert.
“The amount of resources, water, food, oil for transport, the amount of energy that goes into making leather is extraordinary. It’s just not sustainable. The Earth can’t handle it.”
The creative advert encourages people to “Wear Vegan. Buy cactus, mushroom or apple leather instead!” while using the bold statement image.
Speaking in the promotional video, Alicia explains: “My dream is to get these vegan, earth-friendly materials into the hands of famous designers.
“I’d rather go nked than wear animals,” she admitted.
PETA say that the bold billboard will be live in Times Square ahead of the New Year’s Eve ball drop.
It’s not the first time she has stripped off for the animal rights charity either after going nude for the non-profit’s advertising campaign back in 2020.
Her new advert comes after she hit back at “mum-shamers” after confessing that she sleeps in the same bed as her 11-year-old son.
Alicia insists she is “following nature” by sleeping beside Bear Blu. She explained how she was only doing what humans do when “trying to survive in any kind of wild setting”.
The podcast host shares Bear with her ex-husband Christopher Jarecki, who she split from in 2018.
Speaking on The Ellen Fisher Podcast, she admitted: “Bear and I still sleep together”.
“If you were in any kind of wild setting where there are wild animals, if you put you baby over there your baby is going to get eaten, so it’s not ideal for the baby to be over there.”
