Jay-Z’s net worth soars to $2.5 Billion


Jay-Z‘s net worth has soared to staggering $2.5 Billion, according to a new Forbes report published on Friday March 24.

The news come after the rapper resolved a dispute with Barcadi over his D’ussé cognac brand.

Back in February, Jay sold his 50% stake of his D’USSÉ cognac back to its parent company Bacardi for a reported $750 million after a tense court battle and still retains sizeable ownership in the brand.

The real time update provided by Forbes on Friday, March 24, means Jay-Z is the 1,203rd wealthiest person in the world.

French business magnate Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, currently sits at No. 1 on that list with a reported valuation of $216.1 billion.

Latest JAY-Z’s net worth means it has doubled since last year when it was reported he was worth $1.4 billion.

Meanwhile, Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is still the richest person in the world with a net worth of $216.1 billion but bragging rights for the most-paid rapper currently sit with Jigga.

Jay-Z became Hip Hop’s first billionaire in 2019, thanks to his ‘expansive, encompassing liquor, art, real estate (homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Tribeca) and stakes in companies like Uber.

Billboard recently named him ‘The Best Rapper Of All-Time,’ and he holds the most Grammys for a rapper with 24.
