Tommy Fury has taken to the track just hours after he was accused of lying about completing a 100km (62-mile) triathlon.

According to data from the challenge, the 26-year-old boxer, ‘did not finish’ the track challenge when he travelled to France to take part last week, despite sharing snaps on social media of his celebrations with fiancee Molly-Mae Hague.

Tommy seemed not bothered by the claims as he showed that he could complete a half-marathon with ease, joining stars taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday.

The former Love Island star was joined at the start line in Newcastle alongside big names including Jake Quickenden and Joe Wicks.

Tommy ran his first triathlon along the French Riviera last weekend and took to social media to declare he had ‘left it all’ there, having had just ten days of training.

The gruelling course consists of three stages: a 2km (1.25-mile) swim, an 80km (50-mile) bike leg and finally an 18km (11-mile) run to the finish line.

However, it was reported on Wednesday that there was a discrepancy pointing to his bike splits, which showed he was not logged beyond the 48km point, per Marathon Investigation.

These splits were recorded every 6km along the route.
