Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s has been under strain for a while now.
The 31-year-old architect-turned-model has ‘tried to get out’ of their union several time, according to the People.
It was not until the 48-year-old rap star went to rehab for his mental health issues that things smoothed over, it is believed.
The singer revealed this week in an ad printed by the Wall Street Journal that he sought treatment at a rehab facility in Switzerland to deal with his bipolar disorder disorder and depression.
:Bianca had been very unhappy in their marriage for a while and tried to get out a number of times,’ a source told the site.
‘He’s been in this vicious cycle for years. When he’s not in a good space mentally, he tends to create so much drama, which then has lasting consequences,’ a source also told the site.
‘And when he reaches a more stable place, he becomes very aware of the damages he’s caused his family, friends and himself.’
On Monday West revealed the tipping point that prompted him to seek treatment after years of making antisemitic and problematic statements.
West took out a full-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal apologizing for his hateful statements and alleging they were made during the throes of his bipolar disorder.
The rapper also claimed to have sustained a brain injury during a 2002 car accident, one which went unnoticed and apparently set the stage for his bipolar diagnosis.
