Golf legend, Tiger Woods has been released from jail after spending eight hours behind bars in the wake of his terrifying high-speed crash and subsequent DUI arrest.

The 50-year-old was taken into custody on Friday afternoon after he tried to overtake a truck and trailer at high speed on a residential Jupiter Island road, clipping the back of the vehicle and tipping his own SUV onto its side.

After clambering out of the passenger side window of his vehicle, Woods refused to give a urine sample to cops and was arrested for DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

He was then transported to Martin County Public Safety Complex where he was booked and his latest mugshot taken.

Cops later released the remarkable image to the public shortly, with Woods’ eyes puffy and bloodshot.

An hour later, he was bonded out and driven away from the jail, as fans and reporters swarmed the car for a glimpse of him.

Woods can be seen looking stony-faced with his lips pursed, before momentarily glancing out of the passenger side window at the gathered masses before disappearing into the night.

He was driven away from the jail by close confidant and longtime business partner Rob McNamara, who also operates as vice president of Woods’ TGR Ventures.
