Iran warned that it will deploy ‘new weapons with new capabilities’ and strike expanded targets without geographic limits if the United States escalates military action
Iranian parliament speaker, the influential Mohammad Ghalibaf declared: ‘Conscience or the cost of living, Americans said NO TO WAR, and we endorse this message.
‘If the US [government] betrays their public will to serve international paymasters and blackmailers, it will learn our NO comes with a Nightmare.’
Meanwhile, the country’s paramilitary force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps called the US midterm results a ‘disaster’ for Trump, claiming it was the result of ‘America’s heavy defeat in the war it started against Iran’.

A spokesman for the IRGC added that should the US or Israel take any action, Iran would ‘respond to them differently than before, using a new doctrine and new conventional weapons technology’.
The threats came as the US President insisted he had no immediate plans to strike Iran but warned the US was ‘locked and loaded if we need to go’.
The President sought to downplay speculation he was planning to launch fresh action following the election results.
His intervention came after the US carried out ‘defensive’ strikes against Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.
However, Trumpwas prepared to resume strikes, telling the Financial Times: ‘I’m ready, we’re ready. We’re locked and loaded if we need to go, but there may be no reason for it.’
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, had previously pushed for another wave of strikes on Iran after the US midterm elections.
Iran’s supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei claimed that, despite the midterm massacre, the US could not be trusted not to resume attacks.
