Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne has taken out a newspaper ad in The Los Angeles Daily Journal to officially drop her dad’s last name.
Vivienne, 18, filed to change her name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, per the newspaper notice.
The ad is a standard step before the court will approve a name change.

Vivienne published notice of her petition once a week for four consecutive weeks from July 24 to August 14.
Anyone opposing the name change is asked to submit a written opposition before the final hearing.
Her next hearing is Nov. 2, where a judge can approve the request if no one objects.
Running a public ad is just one of California’s requirements for a legal name change.
