The U.S President’s campaign rally in San Antonio, Texas, experienced multiple disruptions when an attendee in a red MAGA hat grabbed a heckler by the hair and pulled him toward the ground.
Trump was headlining a campaign rally to stump for Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
Within minutes of Trump taking the stage, the crowd erupted in boos as one protester, then another, started yelling at the Commander in Chief.
In one striking scene, a heckler was shouting down the president while filming himself with a iPhone as he attempted to flee the venue.
It was then that a man wearing a Make America Great Again hat ran toward the agitator and wrangled him by the shirt collar.
The MAGA supporter then snatched his hair and pulled him toward the ground as other attendees broke up the scuffle.
Trump stopped speaking for a few moments as the protesters were dealt with, at one point firing back, ‘he’s going back home to mom right now,’ and adding ‘what he doesn’t know is that his mom voted for Trump.’
Trump at one point joked amid the chaos: ‘Is there anything like a Trump rally?’
The president continued his speech, ripping into Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico, who is currently beating Paxton.
Then, he went back to referencing the protester, telling the crowd in San Antonio, ‘you know, many of these protesters are paid. You know that, right?’
Trump continued to riff on Talarico for several minutes before introducing an ‘Angel Mom’ who lost her son to crime committed by an illegal immigrant in 2014.
She too was seemingly interrupted by another protester.
Later in the rally, Trump announced that he would be sending refund checks to millions of seniors.
‘Over 20 million seniors on Medicare will receive checks or deposits for over $100 each, including over 1.4 million seniors here … in Texas,’ Trump added.
