There ain’t no party like a royal party…

Almost all of us fancy dance moves. Today we bring you lovely photos of royals and their dance moves. We have photos of the ‘dancing Duchess’ of Cornwall, Prince William, and even the British Queen! The Duchess of Sussex also showed off her moves recently during her visit to the Nyanga township on her royal tour of Africa.

Dancing has been a tradition for the royal family. Queen Victoria loved Scottish jigs and even had a ballroom constructed at Balmoral for her dance parties. Our reigning Queen also dances often during engagements. We remember one during a visit to Ghana in 1961 when she tried the Ghanian ‘shuffle’ with country’s president. The moment was re-enacted in Netflix’s The Crown series in 2018. The photos below are some of our favourites of the royals dancing.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeted by wonderful performances by Nyanga township locals during their royal tour of Africa in September 2019. Meghan clearly had a fun time as she joined in clapping and twirling with the dancers.

We fondly remember William and Kate’s 2012 royal tour of the Far East, when they danced with local women during a visit to South Pacific island Tuvalu. The royal couple appeared joyous in this photo.

Here Prince William attempted the robot. William learnt the move with the Scariofunk Dance Collective during a visit to Caius House Youth Centre in September 2016.

Earlier in 2011, Prince William danced with with Vanessa Boateng on a day out at charity Centrepoint, as wife Kate looks on in laughter. The Duke once joked about his dance moves when he asked a young dancer, “Can you spin on your head? That’s always what I ask people who do street dancing. I can’t do it, I can’t even dance properly anyway. If I were to break dance, I’d literally break myself!”
