Harry and Meghan Reveal how they have been looking after their mental health during royal crisis

Since the Sussexes made an announcement last week, they’ve been on the spotlight. The royals decided it was time for them to step down as senior members of the Royal family and work in becoming financial independent while still supporting the Queen.

In view of this discussions have been ongoing and after the recent one summoned by the Queen, Buckingham Palace released a statement which read:
“Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.

Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives. It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days." It was thought that Meghan would dial into the meeting via a conference call from Canada, but palace sources have since confirmed this was not the case, saying: "The Sussexes decided that it wasn’t necessary for The Duchess to join."

Despite the Queen’s support it is clear that the couple have a role to play in their mental health and dealing with all the bad news that has stemmed from the recent events. To this end, the Sussex Royal Instagram account now follows only one account – the Good News Movement. The page focuses primarily on real-life news events, which include stories of quick-thinking doctors saving lives and people raising money for good causes.

The Sussex previously followed different accounts each month from various charities like; climate change movements and mental health organisations to help shine a light on their work.

Recently the royals have shared photos of visits to the women of the Hubb Communjty Kitchen in London after returning from the feasitve season holiday on Thursday last week. The family collaborated with the women on a cookbook, Together, Our Community Cookbook.
