Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo becomes a chief in Imo state [video]

Nollywood actor and model Alex Ekubo, 34, was recently named a chief at the just ended Iri-ji festival as the Ikuku of Amumara Town, Mbaise.

The Iri-ji Festival is the New Yam Festival of the Ibo people in Nigeria.

It is an annual cultural festival held every year at the end of the rainy season.

Alex has now asked his fans to start addressing him as a chief because the title is official and not a nickname. Captioning the video, he wrote;

“Allow me to Re-introduce myself, I Alexx Ekubo of Arochukwu, Abia State – has just been coronated IKUKU Of Amumara Town, Mbaise. IMO State. At the just concluded Iri-Ji (New Yam Festival). Coronation by – Eze Umara 3 of Amumara Town, Mbaise kingdom. Imo State
