An inferno has caused unrest
in Alagbodo, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Lagos State.
The raging fire according to
reports started after a fuel-laden tanker fell and exploded in the area.
Yet to be ascertained number
of houses and shops reportedly went up in flames, and properties worth fortunes
have burnt to ashes in the process.
Daily Trust reports that the
fire started around 3:00 am while people were still sleeping in their house.
It was alleged that the fire
broke out after some miscreants were scooping fuel from the fallen tanker.
Reports, however, revealed
that emergency officials, including firefighters from the Lagos State Fire
Service, are currently at the scene battling to put out the fire and salvage
other properties.
