Do you ask why separation happens when they can actually be together? It is because the runner does not wholly feel what the chaser feels. There are cases where the chaser becomes runner and runner becomes the chaser when their feelings change. But in a situation whereby the runner still does not end up seeing and feeling what the chaser sees and feels, then separation will take place.
It takes place when the runner open their heart for someone else – and not the chaser. Not that the runner does not sometimes feel what the chaser is feeling, they have some feelings for one another, and the runner knows too well that there is something divine between them and the chaser. But they (the runner) think what they feel is not enough for destiny to happen between them, so they cling and embrace someone else. Much to the agony of the chaser.
When separation happens, the heart of the runner also bleeds, but not much like the heart of chaser. The heart of the runner bleeds because they know they have cut a special tie or bond off but they just can’t help or stop it from happening. So both of them will experience pain, but it is the chaser that would endure the true pain: The pain they would suffer if they fail to get their runner.
Twin Flame:

The runner is the potential of the chaser; the chaser is the other side of the runner; the runner is the chaser. Both are influenced by the mirrors’ effect. Each time the runner is reminded of the chaser or the chaser is reminded of the runner, they feel a surge of pain. Regardless of who you are; the runner or the chaser. You must know that the greater your pain, the more focused you must be. Lest you succumb to the great deal of pain and fall at the mercy of others. Remember, never to express your pain in front of others, because the way a chaser or runner expresses their pain is different from ordinary people. Seeing you expressing your pain would make them think that you are a walking dead full of venom.
