Kate Comes Up Roses! Princess Looks Chic In Recycled Pink ME + EM Dress As She Makes A Surprise Appearance At Chelsea Flower Show

The Princess of Wales looked radiant in a recycled pink dress as she surprised gardeners at the Chelsea Flower Show this afternoon.

Kate, 41, was wearing a ME+EM silk shirt dress, which her mother Carole had previously worn when she turned up unannounced at the event organized by the Royal Horticultural Society.

She paired the dress with her Castaner Carina Espadrille wedges, which she has worn in warmer temperatures during several public appearances. She opted for Zoraida leaf earrings which she has worn before and cost £165. Meanwhile, her thick dark brown locks hung over her shoulders.

The mother of three demonstrated her natural flair with children when she joined school students in the event’s first-ever children’s picnic.

Kate met young people from 10 schools taking part in the RHS school gardening campaign as they sat down to eat before visiting three of this year’s show gardens with them.

On her first visit to the world-famous horticultural show since 2019, the future Queen and the children took part in a bug hunt, helped plan a home-grown meal and discovered how gardens can support well-being – something the Princess has an emphasis on laid for several years.

The princess is known to enjoy the Chelsea Flower Show, an event she has attended several times in the past.

In 2019 Kate even designed her own garden to be in the showcase, the Back To Nature Garden.

The garden, which Kate hoped would inspire families to “get outside” and “enjoy nature,” featured a tree house, waterfall, rustic den and campfire, as well as tree stumps, stepping stones and a hollow log where children could play on.

She teamed up with fellow designers and landscape architects Andree Davies and Adam White to recreate memories from her own childhood by including bluebells in space, for example.

Touchingly, Kate also made Diana a part of the garden, including the late princess’ favorite forget-me-nots in the design.

The royal mother-of-three also made her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis feel part of the project by asking them to collect material from the grounds of Anmer Hall, their home in Norfolk, to put into space. to use.

The children dutifully collected twigs, moss and logs which were brought to London. They also built a rustic teepee-style den and fire pit in the heart of the yard.

The princess is said to have been very hands-on in the construction of the garden and was present almost every day in the five days leading up to the opening.

After the opening, Kate also visited the garden and explored with school students, helping them make small boats out of reeds to run downstream like Pooh sticks.
