Princess Madeleine And Her Children Returns After Long Journey From The Sweden To US

Princess Madeleine and her family have officially arrived in Stockholm as they return to Sweden. The daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia was photographed stepping off the plane with her three children, as captured in images published by the Swedish Women’s Magazine, Svensk Dam.

For their long journey from the US to Sweden, Madeleine, 43, wore an oversized button-up cardigan over a white blouse, paired with black trousers and Nike trainers. Her honey blonde locks were worn loose around her shoulders, and she wore glasses while carrying the family’s beloved dog, Oreo, in a dog carrier.

In a video shared by the Swedish publication, Madeleine’s son, eight-year-old Prince Nicolas, dressed in a navy Nike sweatshirt and a baseball cap, was the first to emerge through the arrivals gate as they were picked up by a waiting car.

He was followed by his elder sister, ten-year-old Princess Leonore, who wore a white T-shirt with light pink trousers and had her hair styled in a braid.

Madeleine walked alongside her youngest child, six-year-old Princess Adrienne, who was dressed in a pastel tie-dye sweatshirt and wore a headband. Two royal aides were seen assisting with their luggage.

However, Madeleine’s husband, Christopher O’Neill, did not accompany his wife and children on the economy flight. According to Expressen, Margareta Thorgren, the Swedish royal court’s Director of Information and Press Department, explained to the newspaper that the family will be arriving in stages due to the significant move from Florida to Stockholm.

The princess had originally planned to move back last summer but the move was delayed to give the family more time to prepare for the relocation.

Reportedly, Madeleine and financier Christopher have sold their seven-bedroom mansion in Florida for nearly $7 million. Since their marriage in 2013, the couple has relocated several times, previously residing in New York and London, in addition to Florida.

Princess Leonore was born at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York on February 20, 2014, while her younger siblings, Prince Nicolas and Princess Adrienne, were born in Stockholm.

While Madeleine fulfills public duties on behalf of her father, King Carl XVI, and serves as a patron of the children’s charity Min Stora Dag, her three children will have the opportunity to pursue their own careers in the future.
