Britney Spears baffled fans by declaring she ‘married’ herself while posing in a wedding dress and veil, one year after her divorce from Sam Asghari.
The pop superstar, 42, took to her Instagram on Sunday with a video of her in a white silk wedding dress and a matching lace veil.
However, instead of marrying a groom, the Toxic hitmaker surprised fans by announcing she has married herself.
‘The day I married myself… Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done !!!’ she wrote in the caption.
The singer was seen posing in front of the camera in the bridal white look and adjusting her veil.
Britney teamed her dress with a pair of pointed-toe black heels, and wore her blonde tresses cascading down in waves.
The mom-of-two accessorized with a dainty gold necklace and wore her signature black eyeliner for the special occasion.
The clip was set to ‘Fields of Gold’ by Sting.

The Princess of Pop also posted a snap of an empty church with no caption.
She followed up the video with a poolside clip of herself in a yellow bikini, as she enjoyed a day in the sun.
The star then shared another video, wearing a white slip dress and black boots while standing at the entrance of a private jet.
Spears appeared to be flying off to a solo honeymoon.
