Mark Zuckerberg has gone viral for his painfully awkward reaction to drinking a pint of Guinness, sparking widespread mockery across social media just weeks after purchasing a massive historic estate in Ireland.
The viral moment happened during an appearance on the Cheeky Pint podcast hosted by Stripe co-founder John Collison, where the Meta CEO appeared alongside Meta’s Chief AI Officer, Alexandr Wang, to discuss artificial intelligence.
To honor the show’s tradition of talking tech over a beer, Zuckerberg even brought a fresh keg of Guinness straight from Dublin.
The trio began the show by toasting a pint of the Irish stout and taking a swig. However, Zuckerberg appeared to regret his decision almost immediately as his stiffened body language shows.

After he tentatively took a small sip, he appeared to grimace slightly as he forced himself to swallow his drink.

After finishing his sip, he turned away slightly and blinked several times.
Commenters pointed out that he later pushed his glass away, almost out of reach. One person said in response to the clip: ‘Never seen someone try and chew a Guinness.’
Another said: ‘Zuckerberg trying to enjoy Guinness and failing is one of the funniest things to me.’ And a third said: ‘I’m not a fan of Guinness, but I can drink it without looking like a 10-year-old with his first beer.’
Last month, he and his wife Priscilla Chan bought a castle in the country. The couple bought the three-storey Gothic-style Strancally Castle from the Alen-Buckley family.
