A shocking tragedy has rocked the Eche Ezema community in Ibagwa Aka, the headquarters of Igbo Eze South Local Government Area in Enugu State. A pastor from a local Sabbath church is accused of brutally killing four young siblings.
The victims—Kamsiyochukwu Ezema (7), Ezinne Ezema (6), Ujunwa Ezema (5), and Chinedu Ezema (2)—were reportedly murdered with a pestle in a gruesome attack. According to sources, the pastor allegedly scaled the fence of the family home and carried out the horrific act while the children were alone.
The suspect is currently in police custody at the Divisional Police Station in Ibagwa Aka, as investigations continue.
A family member, who spoke to The Sun, confirmed the incident and revealed that the children’s parents, Chinonso and Loveth Ezema, were away at the time of the attack. The grieving father has called for justice, urging authorities to thoroughly investigate and ensure the perpetrator is held accountable.
“Our compound shares a fence with the church where the accused pastor works,” the father noted, emphasizing the close proximity of the crime scene to the church.
An officer from the Ibagwa Aka Police Station, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the case has been officially recorded and reassured the public that investigations are ongoing. “We urge the community to stay calm and allow the process of justice to unfold,” the officer said.
The community remains in shock as authorities work to uncover the full details behind this devastating event.
