Princess Eugenie has taken on an exciting new role that reflects her continued commitment to environmental advocacy.
The 35-year-old royal has been named a Global Ambassador for “Thirty Six For Coral”, a prestigious art exhibition and auction dedicated to raising awareness and funds for coral reef conservation.
The initiative comes shortly after she was also appointed a mentor for The King’s Foundation 35 under 35 programme, further aligning her work with her uncle, King Charles III, and his longstanding environmental efforts.
A passionate advocate for ocean preservation, Princess Eugenie holds a full-time position as Associate Director at Hauser & Wirth, an international contemporary art gallery. She continues to balance her professional responsibilities with active involvement in philanthropic causes close to her heart.
In a statement, the Princess highlighted the urgency of the coral crisis: “Despite occupying less than 1% of the seabed, coral reefs support 25% of all marine life, and one billion people around the world rely on them for food and livelihoods.
I’m pleased to be supporting Thirty-Six For Coral, an important exhibition that will connect more people with the irreplaceable value of coral reefs and help raise vital funds to protect and restore them for future generations.”
The exhibition is set to launch on 12 June 2024 in Nice, coinciding with the 2025 UN Ocean Conference. Eugenie joins a growing list of high-profile supporters, including Sienna Miller and Cara Delevingne, lending their voices to the urgent global call for marine conservation.
With this new ambassadorial role, Princess Eugenie continues to carve out a meaningful path in both the art world and environmental activism — building on the legacy of service and sustainability championed by the royal family.
