Queen Camilla has been captured in a heartwarming new photo cuddling her rescue puppy, Moley, inside her private home.
Following an initial image released on Sunday morning, the palace shared a second snapshot later that evening showing the 77-year-old royal beaming with joy as she snuggled her tan-eared pup on some garden steps.
For the photoshoot, Camilla looked effortlessly elegant in a pink dress adorned with tiny pansies and green sprigs, layered with a soft periwinkle cardigan, and accessorized with a Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet.
The pictures appear to have been taken at Camilla’s Wiltshire retreat, Ray Mill House — a private residence she has kept since her split from her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, in 1994.
Camilla lived there from 1996 to 2003 and continues to use it as her countryside sanctuary. The garden setting featured metal planters on the steps and a wooden greenhouse filled with plants.
Camilla welcomed Moley earlier this year, adopting the little pup from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Born on Boxing Day, Moley is believed to be part Jack Russell.
The news of Moley’s arrival first emerged during a solo visit Camilla made to Canterbury. While meeting a group of partially sighted museum visitors, the Queen bent down to pet a golden retriever guide dog and shared how she had recently adopted an eight-week-old rescue puppy named Moley, who she said “looks just like a mole.”
