Tragedy struck in Jalisco, Mexico, when 23-year-old TikTok influencer and aesthetician Valeria Márquez was fatally shot during a livestream at her beauty salon.
According to El Imparcial, Márquez was broadcasting live from Blossom the Beauty Lounge, located in the Santa María shopping plaza, when an unidentified man entered the salon and opened fire. The gunman reportedly shot her once in the chest and twice in the head before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.
Disturbing footage of the incident shows Valeria smiling and chatting with her followers moments before the attack. Her livestream abruptly ended as shots rang out.
Emergency services responded quickly, but Márquez was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have since cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt for the suspect. As of now, investigators have not released the name of the victim officially but confirmed she had a significant social media presence.
Valeria was known for her beauty and lifestyle content, amassing over 110,000 followers on TikTok. Her death has sparked shock and grief among fans and fellow influencers.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted, according to Infobae. In a statement, the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office confirmed: “According to the initial investigation, she was in her establishment when a man entered and apparently shot her several times with a firearm, killing her.”
