Donald Trump makes extraordinary promise to give EVERY American $5,000 but on one strict condition

U.S. President Donald Trump has promised to give every American adult a $5,000 ‘dividend’ only if Republicans hold both chambers of Congress in November.

He made the pledge during his remarks at the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas on Wednesday evening.

‘If the Republicans win, you win with us, and you get $5,000,’ Trump stated on stage as over 21,000 convention attendees looked on. ‘It will be called the Trump Dividend,’ he added.

He likened the payments to a corporation’s distributions to shareholders, citing ‘our tremendous strength and success economically.’

The proposal would cost at least $1 trillion.

Trump stated that the money must be spent exclusively inside the United States. He remarked, ‘We don’t want you going to Canada to spend the money. We don’t want you going to China, to Germany.’

Eariler in his remarks, he urged Republicans to treat November’s midterms as a referendum on himself, telling the party’s first ever midterm convention on Wednesday: ‘I’m asking you to pretend I’m on the ballot.’

The plea, delivered on the opening night of the two-day Dallas gathering, demonstrated how the GOP’s fate remains tethered to a president who is not himself facing voters, as the party fights to hold Congress.

Trump opened his remarks by reviving his false claim that he won the 2020 election, declaring: ‘We won the presidency three times.’ He lost to Joe Biden in 2020.
