A woman has died and two more have been injured following a Russian air and ballistic missile strike in the city of Kyiv.
Moscow has rained drones and missiles on Ukrainian cities daily and Kyiv says its strikes are fair retribution.
The Ukrainian capital was struck evening/overnight, its Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed in the early hours of Monday morning, with a medical facility and a non-residential building damaged in the attack.

The strike comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with top US envoys over the weekend in an attempt to ease tensions between the two countries.
Zelensky, who was accused by US President Donald Trump of not wanting to end the war with Russia, spoke with US officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner as both Ukraine and Russia ramped up hits to each other’s energy sites over the weekend.
Moscow has left thousands in Ukraine without power, while Kyiv carried out its largest drone attack on Saint Petersburg since the beginning of the war in 2022.
Late on Sunday, Ukraine’s army launched drones on Saint Petersburg which set an oil refinery ablaze, killing one and leaving five others hospitalised in the city.
