Actor Uti Nwachukwu-‘Tithing Works But Not Compulsory’

Nollywood actor, Uti Nwachukwu has said that
though tithing works it is not compulsory.

Uti shared his thoughts via his Twitter handle. He stated that indeed
the concept of tithing actually works but people should not be forced to do it
because no one would be punished for not participating.

He maintained that the idea of tithing is elective and it is a blessing
available for those that are interested alone.

The issue of tithing has often caused debates amongst Nigerians. Some
have felt that the 10 percent is a mandate from the Lord highest while others
have claimed that clergymen simply use it to enrich their pockets.
