Ikpe Etim has reacted to the suspension of the Twitter ban by the federal
government of Nigeria.
It was earlier
reported that President Muhammadu Buhari had given his approval for the lifting
of the Twitter ban.
The president’s directive
was made public in a statement on Wednesday by the Chairman Technical Committee
Nigeria-Twitter Engagement and Director-General National Information Technology
Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi.
According to the
statement, the lifting of the suspension on Twitter operations in Nigeria will
be effective from 12 am 13th January 2022.
Reacting to the
development, the actress maintained that the suspension must have a huge effect
on the upcoming 2023 elections.
She said: “Twitter must
really have an effect on the election. How convenient.
