1. Appreciate Yourself
Appreciate yourself first while you wait to be appreciated if you have to wait for it. This is the modest way to practise self-love without hurting others. Accept and embrace yourself and fall in love with yourself. It is true that you can’t give what you don’t have, love is never a one-way. Focus on what you can give, more than what you want to receive.
You will be lost with yourself to the extent that you won’t remember to feel unwanted. Practise self-love, the first love you ever need is in you, love from others will only support it. Love yourself; your strength and weakness. What makes you unique is your strength and weakness, because in your weakness is your strength, don’t hate yourself.
2. Be Grateful For The Little You Have
Open your eyes to see people that call and treat you as their own. There will always be someone that will stand with you and love you just like you are, be grateful for having such individual and show your love to the person too lest you lose the person due to your ungratefulness. When you appreciate the little you have and attend to it kindly, then you can be hopeful of much more.
For the meantime, pay more attention to the person you have, even if it is only one person. Sooner or later, more people will come to you through the person you are treating well.
3. Be The Best Version Of Yourself
There is something in and about you that will draw people closer to you. Likewise, there could be something in and about you that make people stay away and withdraw from you. Make it a duty to work on yourself; work on your excesses and don’t stop developing on areas you could improve on, even your strengths.
When you are at your best, people will patronise you and want to identify with you. But people with treat you carelessly when you are at their mercy. You will pull people to yourself and turn the table around when you are doing well on your own.
4. Know Your People And Be With Them
There is a place for you to be, not just any place. Stay out of hostile environment lest the feeling that you are unloved will haunt you. Be with the right people and only keep the environment that tolerate and accept you. Don’t be with people that loathe you and won’t hesitate to come at you at your slightest error. Don’t be with people that make you feel like you are forcing yourself on them. Only be with people that would tolerate you.
5. Place Value On Yourself
Look within and search out the virtues in you, then you will see how valuable you are. Honor yourself first that people may honor you, don’t give yourself over to people lest they trample on you. Radiate some values and you will render something desirable that will make people give importance to you.

People will only echo what you call yourself, keep your dignity and you will always have something to fall back on.
