Police body-cam footage shows the chilling moment an abusive husband was arrested for trying to brutally murder his wife, as he told officers ‘I’m not bothered’.
Mark Taylor, 57, went on the run with his teenage son after stabbing his partner Suzanne Taylor multiple times and locking her in their family home in Baslow, Derbyshire, on February 15.
COURT HEARD
A court heard the attack was so severe that the kitchen knife he was using snapped – but he carried on the ferocious assault after grabbing a second blade.

Taylor then demanded she hand over her phone to him as she lay bleeding, saying he would call her an ambulance.
But instead he callously told her ‘this will be the end of you’ before locking the doors to their house, and driving away with the couple’s son.
HOW SHE WAS SAVED
Mrs Taylor tried to call for help through the letterbox before managing to crawl up the stairs where she shouted out of a bedroom window.
She managed to catch the attention of a passing dog walker who called emergency services.

She was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering stab wounds to her neck, arm, chest and stomach.
Automatic number plate recognition cameras captured Taylor’s car moving around Derbyshire before heading across the border into Cheshire.
He was stopped later that day 60 miles away by Cheshire Police and body-cam footage captured the moment he was arrested.
SAYS HE’S NOT BOTHERED
Taylor can be heard saying to the arresting officer: ‘I’m not bothered, that’s it now, it’s a life sentence.’

The couple’s 13-year-old son who had witnessed the attack, asked officers ‘whether his mother was still alive’.
He was charged with attempted murder, which he denied before being found guilty on August 15 following a trial at Derby Crown Court.
Taylor, of Baslow, was jailed for 23 years with a with a five-year extended sentence at the same court yesterday.
