On May 18, the Adamawa State Police Command arrested 19-year-old Mohammed Umar, a resident of Abuja Road in Yola South Local Government Area, for loitering inside the Ngurore LCCN church premises while wearing clothing typically associated with the opposite sex (women).

The arrest came after a report was made by Sunday Andrawus to the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters, following observations of the suspect’s movements within the church grounds.

Commissioner of Police for Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yola for a discreet and thorough investigation.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and order, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity promptly to the police.
