Perez Hilton was rushed to a Miami hospital on Tuesday evening after officers received multiple calls from concerned fans who said he was broadcasting alarming behavior on a TikTok livestream.
Frightened fans called police to blogger Perez Hilton’s home after they received reports of the disturbing TikTok livestream.
Deputies responded to Hilton’s home following ‘multiple’ emergency calls regarding an individual engaging in alleged self-harm on the platform.
Clips from the video showed the celebrity blogger covered in blood while brandishing a knife.
Officers then spoke with family members on the scene and confirmed Hilton was alone inside before making the decision to ‘tactically disengage’ while monitoring the situation.
‘In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication,’ according to the police spokeperson.
Hours later, authorities announced Hilton ‘has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.’
