Hailey Bieber is celebrating a major career milestone with the release of her Summer 2025 Vogue US cover — a moment made even more significant in light of a past comment from her husband, Justin Bieber, during an argument.
In a candid Instagram post shared on Tuesday, May 20, Justin reflected on a particularly heated moment in their relationship, revealing he once told Hailey she’d “never be on the cover of Vogue.”
“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,” Justin wrote. “I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes, I know — so mean.”
The singer admitted that the hurtful remark came during a time when he felt “disrespected” and was trying to “get even” in the heat of the moment.
“I think as we mature, we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even,” he continued. “We’re honestly just prolonging what we really want, which is intimacy and connection.”
He concluded the post with an apology to Hailey, acknowledging how wrong he had been: “So baby, you already know — but forgive me for saying you wouldn’t get a Vogue cover, ’cause clearly I was sadly mistaken.”

The confession quickly sparked reactions from fans online, with many praising Justin’s honesty, while others suggested he may have overshared. “You shoulda kept that to yourself baby,” one follower commented.
Hailey’s newly released Vogue US cover is her latest in a string of high-profile fashion features. She first appeared on the cover of Vogue in March 2019 alongside Justin, followed by joint features in Vogue Italia in 2020. Her solo debut came with Vogue India the same year, and she later graced Vogue France in May 2022 and Vogue Australia in March 2023.
In her latest interview for the magazine, Hailey opened up about postpartum challenges and addressed the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding her marriage to Justin.
