Brazilian child actress and model Milena Brandão has tragically passed away at just 11 years old after enduring 21 cardiac arrests.
Milena was admitted to Grajaú General Hospital in São Paulo on Wednesday, April 30, after complaining of severe headaches. Doctors soon discovered she had a brain tumor. Despite medical efforts, she died two days later, on Friday, May 2.
Her mother, Thays Brandão, confirmed the heartbreaking news in a tribute shared on Milena’s Instagram account: “The memories we spent together will remain in my heart forever. Your joy was contagious, and I already miss you more than words can express. You were the light in our lives, and I know you’ll continue to shine from above. I’ll love you always.”
Milena was best known for her role in the Brazilian TV soap opera The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet. News of her passing has left fans and followers devastated, with tributes pouring in online for the young talent gone too soon.
