In a candid interview with The Telegraph, the royal opened up about the simple joys of motherhood and her love for quiet evenings at home.
Cosy Nights In
Eugenie revealed that her favorite weeks are those when she can be home every night — ideally in her pyjamas by 7pm.
“I get home from work and put the boys in the bath and don’t have to go anywhere else. It’s so relaxing,” she shared.
It’s a picture of peaceful domestic life, far removed from royal engagements or public appearances — and one that many parents will find refreshingly relatable.
Weekend Creativity with the Kids
The Princess also spoke about sharing her love of the arts with her children. She makes a point of planning creative weekend activities for August and Ernest to spark their imaginations — and maybe even keep them still for a moment.
“It’s a focused activity; they might actually sit still for a few minutes,” she joked, showing her down-to-earth approach to parenting.
A Cause Close to Her Heart
The rare interview was part of Eugenie’s ongoing partnership with Horatio’s Garden, a charity that creates healing gardens in spinal injury centres across the UK.
The cause is particularly meaningful for the Princess, who underwent surgery for scoliosis at age 12. After first discovering Horatio’s Garden in 2016, she became its patron in 2019 and has since visited four of the charity’s therapeutic gardens.
Eugenie’s involvement reflects her passion for creating nurturing, accessible spaces — whether in a hospital garden or her own home.
