A middle-aged man, identified as Segun Adelere, was discovered dead inside his vehicle in the New Garage area of Lagos State on Tuesday, June 10.
According to reports, concerned passersby noticed Adelere gasping for air inside his parked vehicle and immediately alerted members of the local transport union. Despite efforts to get him help, he tragically passed away before any assistance could reach him.
APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe shared the incident on Facebook, describing it as a heartbreaking moment. He confirmed that the man’s body has been transferred to the Divine Hospital Mortuary for preservation, and an autopsy is expected to determine the cause of death.
Igbokwe wrote: “It was a tragic moment yesterday, June 10, 2025, when transport union members at New Garage on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway noticed that a middle-aged man was struggling to breathe in his vehicle.
“The man, identified as Adebowale Segun Adelere, was found unresponsive in his Chery vehicle (registration number LND 483 FV) parked near the NGAB filling station. Sadly, he passed away before help could arrive.”
