The federal trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs hit an unexpected pause on Wednesday after one of the jurors reportedly suffered a vertigo episode while on their way to court.
According to The Daily Mail, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian promptly suspended proceedings for the day, citing the juror’s health condition as “unexpected and momentary.” Given that Thursday is a federal holiday (Juneteenth), the trial is now set to resume on Friday.
The delay could disrupt the prosecution’s timeline, which had been structured to conclude on Friday following testimony from Brendan Paul, a key witness who prosecutors claim acted as Diddy’s alleged drug courier.
Combs, 55, is facing multiple federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment. He has pleaded not guilty and has remained in federal custody in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024.
In a recent development, Diddy’s defense team stated they may need only two days to present their case, a move some legal analysts view as a sign of strategic confidence in the strength of their arguments.
