Michelle Obama‘s silence earlier on the day her husband former President Barack Obama celebrates 64th birthday raised eyebrows.
As the birthday wishes roll in from all industry – including U.S. Representative Robin Kelly and TV host Claudia Jordan – Michelle’s voice was not heard.
And the silence made one to consider the persistent rumors swirling about the state of their marriage.
Now, the Former First Lady has reacted to his husband on one of the most beautiful notes.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she posted a loved-up photo with the birthday boy, Michelle’s caption read, ‘Happy birthday to my love, my best friend, my everything! @BarackObama, even after all these years, you’re still the coolest guy I know. 💕’.
Barack responds kindly and promptly too in the comments and wrote: ‘Love you, Miche! And thanks everybody for all the birthday wishes.’
Speculation about the Obamas’ relationship has picked up over the past year, fueled in part by Michelle’s decision to skip several high-profile events, including Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
Barack himself also added fuel to the fire when he told students at Hamilton College that he was in a ‘deep deficit’ with Michelle and trying to make it up to her by doing ‘fun things.’
The couple, who have been married for nearly 33 years share two daughters.
