Police in Ondo State have arrested a 41-year-old man, Odunayo Olomolatan, for allegedly killing a 22-year-old tenant, Joy Tale, during a dispute in Ode-Irele, Irele Local Government Area, on Monday, May 5.
According to reports, officers responded swiftly after receiving a distress call from concerned neighbors about the violent altercation.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the state police command, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the suspect is currently being held at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ode-Irele.
“Yes, I can confirm the young woman was allegedly hacked to death during an argument with the landlord’s son,” Ayanlade stated. “The suspect has been arrested and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
