Although the new season of Strictly Come Dancing is still months away, speculation is already swirling — and Zara Tindall is at the center of it.
Excitement ramped up this week after her husband, former rugby star Mike Tindall, shared a photo of Zara striking a ballroom pose with Strictly judge Anton Du Beke.
Captioning the photo with a cheeky hint, Mike wrote: “I always said she would be great on Strictly! @mrantondubeke.”
Anton quickly fueled the buzz with a playful reply: “I’ll come out of retirement!”
Fans React: “The Glitterball’s Yours, Zara!”
It didn’t take long for fans to jump on the idea, with many expressing their hopes that Zara will join the cast of the upcoming series.
“100%!! The Glitterball’s yours, Zara,” one fan commented. Another added: “Please make this happen, we need to see it!” A third chimed in: “I could see Zara doing great on Strictly Come Dancing.”
While there’s been no official confirmation, the teasing exchange has only added fuel to the fan-driven fire.
Reality TV Runs in the Family
If Zara does step onto the dancefloor, she’ll be following in Mike’s footsteps in the world of reality TV. In 2022, the former England rugby player appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and made it all the way to fourth place.
Despite being part of the royal family, Mike revealed he didn’t require formal permission to participate in the ITV show. However, he did check in with the Prince of Wales out of respect.
“You don’t want to upset anyone,” he explained on his podcast The Good, the Bad and the Rugby. “I spoke to the Prince of Wales about it and he said, ‘Great, go have fun’.”
Now, fans are hoping it’s Zara’s turn to take center stage — and maybe even waltz her way to the top of the leaderboard.
