It’s a season of celebration for Georgina Bloomberg. The 41-year-old equestrian and daughter of former New York City Mayor and billionaire philanthropist Michael Bloomberg is expecting a baby girl—and now she’s the proud new owner of a waterfront home in the Hamptons.
According to The New York Times, Georgina recently closed on a picturesque property along Cold Point Road in Southampton, just minutes from her father’s expansive estate. The home was listed at $4.29 million and sold for $4 million in an all-cash transaction on May 30.
A source close to the family shared, “Michael wants to be close to his grandchildren.” With the new residence just five minutes from his own, visits to Grandpa will be a short stroll away.
The house, built in 2012 by architect John David Rose, boasts 100 feet of pristine waterfront along Cold Spring Pond with sweeping views of Peconic Bay. The property sets a pricing benchmark for the Cold Spring Point Beach Community and offers not just luxury, but also tranquility.
While more modest than Bloomberg’s 22,000-square-foot Ballyshear estate, Georgina’s new 3,000-square-foot retreat exudes elegance and warmth. Spread across two levels, it features four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a cozy stone fireplace, and oversized windows that flood the home with natural light and scenic bay views.
Outdoor amenities include beach access, a private boat dock, community tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, as well as an outdoor shower. While it lacks a pool, its serene coastal setting more than compensates. Covered porches and a screened-in sitting room add to the relaxed, family-friendly charm.
Georgina shares a son, Sebastian (born in 2023), with her longtime partner, financier Justin Waterman. The couple is now preparing to welcome their second child. She also has a son, Jasper (born in 2013), from a previous relationship with Argentine Olympic show jumper Ramiro Quintana.
“Two-week countdown begins today. I cannot wait to meet you baby girl,” Georgina recently posted to her 100,000 Instagram followers, marking this joyful new chapter in her life.
