The seven-year-old royal has taken up drumming, and it’s causing quite the ruckus at home, according to his dad, Prince William. The Prince of Wales shared the amusing update during the 2024 Tusk Conservation Awards at the Savoy Hotel in London, and his cheeky remark had the room in stitches.
“My youngest is learning the drums – that’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears,” William joked to the crowd.
A Budding Musician in the Palace
This isn’t the first time William and Princess Kate have opened up about their children’s musical interests. The Wales kids – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – are all said to love music. But it seems Louis is taking things to the next level.
Rather than simply dancing or singing along, Louis has gone for one of the boldest instruments out there. Drumming may be music to his ears, but it sounds like it’s testing his dad’s patience — or at least his eardrums.
A Personality That Shines
Known for his cheeky expressions and lively appearances at public events, Prince Louis’ choice of the drums feels right on brand. At just seven years old, he’s showing early signs of confidence and creativity — and maybe even a future in music.
Whether this is the start of a royal rock band or just a phase, one thing’s for sure: life at Kensington Palace just got a lot louder.
