The former Indiana teacher accused of s*xually abusing multiple underage students while they wore “Scream” masks will be denied the opportunity for conjugal visits.
Currently held at Morgan County Jail in Martinsville, Indiana, Fortinberry remains without access to s*xual contact.
A jail spokesperson confirmed that conjugal visits are not permitted, and she does not have access to adult or s*xually explicit materials. She is housed alone in her cell, which is designed for three inmates but currently accommodates only her.
Her cell contains basic furnishings: a metal bunk, sink, towel hooks, toilet, mirror, and a night light. Her jail-issued tablet restricts access to any material of a s*xual nature, and the reading materials available to her are non-explicit.
Fortinberry’s daily routine is routine and uneventful. Each morning, the cell doors open, allowing her the choice to socialize with other inmates or stay inside. The dayroom features a communal TV broadcasting cable programming, with live basketball games being particularly popular.
Meals are delivered through a slot in her cell door three times daily and are eaten alone—breakfast includes cereal, fruit, and pastries; lunch offers spaghetti, hot dogs, and pudding; dinner typically consists of chicken patties, bologna sandwiches, and cake.
She has maintained good behavior so far, with no disciplinary actions reported.
Fortinberry faces 29 felony charges, including child molestation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and disseminating harmful material to minors. A conviction could lead to decades behind bars.
Her attorney, Stephen Gray, stated, “Ms. Fortinberry has pled not guilty to the charges. I have no further comment.”
